Why You’ll Love This Recipe
Who doesn’t like a classic steak and carbs? Sometimes steak in bite-sized form is best. So tender and juicy you won’t need a fork or knife for this. Just spoonfuls of goodness. Pair this with a staple mac n cheese you can make at any time of the year and you’ve just made an epic steak dinner.
Here are few reasons why this will become your new favorite steak recipe:
Delicious – Steak, garlic, butter and pasta — the start to any comforting & delicious dish. Garlic butter steak bites are good on their own, but layer on creamy mac n cheese and this is completely elevated.
Meal Prep – This the PERFECT meal prep! Customize it to meat your macros and needs (low fat cheese, protein pasta, etc.) Carbs, protein and a super easy to make ahead.
Key Ingredients You’ll Need
- Steak – The absolutely best cut to use for this meal is obviously a tender ribeye or filet. A more budget friendly option would be top sirloin. All in all, use a cut of meat that stays tender when cooked quickly on high heat.
- Garlic – Can there ever be enough garlic? The start to any amazing dish. There’s hints of garlic in every aspects of this dish and they all blend together well. Sautéed garlic, raw garlic and infused garlic.
- Butter – A little bit of butter adds deliciousness to every dish. Every steak should be basted in butter or in this case showered in a garlic butter sauce. Mashed potatoes is only as good as the amount of butter, so add a lot and you’ll be set.
- Cheese – I like to use a 3 cheese blend: Colby Jack, mozzarella and cheddar. Perfect trio.
